Steve has more desktop wallpapers, featuring Marlon Brando, Clark Gable, Greta Garbo, Jean Harlow, Brigette Helm, Marilyn Monroe, and Barbara Stanwyck.

Nick and Jane delivered more goodies:

• Pola Negri - 4 pictures of the silent screen legend, including one from East of Suez (1925)

• Mary Pickford with Ernst Lubitsch and Philippe De Lacy on the set of Rosita (1923)

• Marilyn Monroe - 12 pictures of her entertaining the troops in Korea in 1954

• Ziegfeld Girls - 5 anonymous ladies and one photo of Corinne Griffith

Vladimir sent us two nice images of Marilyn Monroe, including a poolside shot with Cary Grant.

Michael bows in with a scan of Phyllis Haver in 1927's Chicago.

Rikke came by with a carload of nice photos, featuring:

• Ursula Andress - 18 pictures

• Josephine Baker - 6 pictures of the perky chanteuse

• Tony Curtis - 8 pictures

Jane identified several of our Gene Tierney pictures (posted January 10) as being from Belle Starr (1941), Never Let Me Go (1953), The Secret of Convict Lake (1951), and Tobacco Road (1941).

Then she sent over nine gorgeous pictures of English actress/singer Jessie Matthews, including scenes from her musicals, Evergreen (1930), Hold My Hand (1931), and Wake Up and Dream (1929).

Nick and Jane delivered more goodies:

• Jean Harlow - 6 pictures, including Reckless (1935), Wife vs. Secretary (1936, with a film clip), and four posed shots.  These are for Michel!

• three pictures from The Greatest Show on Earth (1952), featuring Cecil B. DeMille, Gloria Grahame, and James Stewart

• Ray Milland - 2 pictures from The Lost Weekend (1945), including one with Jane Wyman

Jane's solo shots include:

• Alice Faye - 5 pictures, including one from Tin Pan Alley (1940)

• Aileen Pringle - a publicity shot from her 1924 film, True as Steel

William sent us a nice image of Ethel Barrymore.

Vladimir bows in with:

• Marilyn Monroe (with Johnny Hyde - thanks to Jessica for identifying him)

• Gene Tierney - 7 pictures, including an exotic one of her in Sundown (1941)

Rikke dispatched two new Elizabeth Taylor scans and one of Bette Davis.

Joyce Compton returns to our site in a cheesecake photo.  We'll have several more images of her in the future.

Nick and Jane prepared scans from two famous films:

• Gone With the Wind (1939) - Vivien Leigh (2 pictures, including one of her smooching Clark Gable), and David O. Selznick shown on the set

• How Green Was My Valley (1944) - Roddy McDowall (2 pictures) and Donald Crisp with Sara Allgood

They also included 10 new pictures of the Peek-a-Boo Girl, Veronica Lake.

Gunnar sent in three more beautiful Film Noir Posters:  Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye, Naked Alibi, and Nightmare Alley.

Sever identified several of our Marlon Brando photos from January 5th as being from A Streetcar Named Desire and One-Eyed Jacks.

To round things out, we have two film clips:

• Gary Cooper and Ingrid Bergman in Saratoga Trunk (1946) - that harridan with all the makeup is actually Flora Robson (check out her picture on Jane Bryan's page to see what she really looked like).

• Marion Davies and Patsy Kelly in Page Miss Glory (1935) - Frank McHugh also runs in and out

• Steve has prepared five, featuring Cleopatra (as portrayed by Theda Bara, Claudette Colbert, and Elizabeth Taylor), the Gold Diggers of 1933, Bela Lugosi, Donna Reed, and James Stewart (in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington)

• Sylvie completed four, showcasing Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe (2), and Laurence Olivier.

Hervé sent us some great stills:

• Alfred Hitchcock's thriller, Strangers on a Train (1951), starring Farley Granger (4 pictures)

• Spencer Tracy in 1941's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (3 pictures)
